Mountain training
The Welsh Scout Council provides mountain training through its Yr Hafod mountain training centre in Snowdonia.
Hafod run an annual programme of courses including national governing body awards for hillwalking and climbing - Mountain Leader (ML) Summer, and Single Pitch Award (SPA), and basic and advanced skills weekends for Scouting. Hafod are also able to provide assessment for Scouting permits on these weekends.
In addition to the courses for adults, the Hafod Team run an "open" expedition for DofE gold participants.
