Dolygaer Scout Activity Centre
Dolygaer is ideally situated in the centre of the Brecon Beacons. The centre consists of a 22-bed bunkhouse converted from an old railway station, and an adjacant campsite.
The bunkhouse is centrally heated and equippted with a drying room. There are hot showers available at all times. There are 22 bunk beds in 4 rooms (with 4,4,4,10 bunks respectively), a main lounge, and a professional kitchen.
Activities
The centre is ideally located right in the centre of the Brecon Beacons for mountain activities. The centre resides at 350m above sea level, and there is ample low-level (Terrain 0) walking around the centre. The mountains around the centre rise to nearly 900m (Terrain 2).
A small crag on site is suitable for climbing and abseiling activities, and there are many large popular crags within a short drive.
The area is also fantastic for mountain biking, with the Taff Trail passing close by.
Water activities are available on the adjacant reservoir from various clubs and organisations.
