Join the Adventure

Scouting offers challenge and adventure to approximately 15,000 young people and adults across Wales and to nearly half a million people across the UK. We believe in helping our Members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and make life long friends.

Did you know...?

Scouting offers more than 200 activities from abseiling to zorbing (that’s rolling down a hill in a giant plastic ball in case you were wondering)

Scouting works well when young people enjoy learning by working in partnership with adults. They do this by:

  • taking part in a variety of activities and new experiences
  • exploring the outdoors
  • participating in teams
  • taking responsibility.

Our method for giving young people the opportunity to learn by doing is called the Programme; a continuous progression of training, activities and awards that covers everything that young people do in Scouting from the age of 6 to 25.

Whether you're a young person wanting to join, a parent looking on behalf of your child, or an adult wanting fun and adventure yourself, visit www.scouts.org.uk/join to get in touch with your local groups.
