Frostbite white water weekend

Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 January 2010
Saturday 10 - Sunday 9 January 2011

Kayaker on whitewater in SnowdoniaThis event is the real challenge for experienced scout and leader paddlers. It's an event to introduce paddlers to moving white water, using a high level of expert supervision and instruction.

Only open to kayakers with at least their BCU/WCA three star award or equivalent and canoe safety test, and the organisers reserve the right to, on safety grounds, refuse lesser qualified canoeists to attend. Proof of qualifications will be required.

We will paddle Snowdonia's rivers subject to water level and access. It is not called the Frostbite Weekend for nothing, it is very cold and paddlers' gear needs to reflect this.

The accommodation is in Trevor Scouts centrally heated, double glazed HQ, and full exceptional catering is included.

Numbers on this event are strictly limited due to the event's very nature, and bookings are taken purely on a “first come - first served” basis.

Cost: £25.00 per head for accomodation and food.  If JJ's or Tyweryn is used then further costs may be incurred.
