Rules for the Dragon Award
- This is a progressive Award which is open to all Scouts, Explorers, Network and Leaders.
- There is no time limit to any part of this Award. For example, the Bronze Award does not have to be completed within one period of 12 months.
- Spend one night under canvas or bivouac in each month for the Bronze Award – remember this can be spread over any length of time.
- Gain the Bronze Award and then complete 12 of the 30 listed challenges for the Silver Award.
- Gain the Silver Award and then complete a further 12 challenges for the Gold Award.
- Keep the Record Card up-to-date and signed by a Leader or camping companion.
- Upon completing a stage, the record card must be forwarded to the Assistant Area Commissioner (or equivalent) so that they can arrange for a Bronze, Silver or Gold Dragon Badge to be awarded. A new card must then be started for the next stage.
- The Award is worn on the right sleeve.
