How to get Record Books & other materials

Any Leader involved with the Award. Explorer Scout Leaders, District Explorer Scout Commissioners, Scout Network Leaders and Commissioners and Advisors for the Award.

Bronze & Silver Award Certificates

Certificates and pin badges should be ordered free of charge from us. The name of the participant can be added if requested. Cloth badges are also available for £1.10 each. When ordering the certificate, why not order the next stage Record Book so that the participant can immediately continue with the Award.

Gold Award

Authorisation and presentation at this level are done via the Area Advisor and the Duke of Edinburgh Advisor for Wales.

Record of Achievement

Bronze, Silver and Gold Record of Achievement sheets are available at a cost of 30p.

Section Certificates

Small individual certificates are available, free of charge, for each section of the Award (i.e. skills, physical recreation etc) if requested. Again, names can be added.

If you want a copy of these leaflets to be sent out with the Entrance Pack for those new to the Award, please request this with your order.

There are also posters promoting the Award and the different Sections of the Award.

To order, contact the Welsh Scout Council Office

With you order we need:

  • The name of the participant(s) the book is for and their date of birth
  • The name of the Unit/Network and the District/Area
  • A postal address
  • The Award level required

An invoice will be sent to you, prompt payment would be appreciated but you do not need to send payment with your order.

Orders will be posted out immediately to Leaders or you can collect from the Welsh Scout Council Office. Hopefully this will enable a young person to express a desire to be involved in the Award during a meeting, the Leader to make the order during or straight after the meeting, and the Record Book to be available for the young person at the next meeting.
