2008 All-Wales Challenge “8 for 2008”

8 for 2008 logoThe idea of the challenge is to give you a lift into 2008, after all the excitement of 2007.  The challenge has been devised by the Commissioners (Wales) and has the full support the area commissioners in Wales.

The challenge is based on the content of the programme for each section. It is meant to stretch and challenge every member who takes part, so if you are texting for the first time, it does not matter if you are 6 years or 96 years!

Each section needs to create one suitable challenge from each of the eight headings to achieve the badge. Each of the eight challenges must, of course, be an activity which you have not done before in your section! You can select your own activity as long as it comes within one of the eight headings listed.

Hopefully Leaders will plan their normal programme to incorporate the challenges. These can be achieved with other sections in the district, with another group, or on your own. You can use games, outings, visits, camps etc to present the challenges.

Each section/group should first register with the Welsh Scout Council their intention to take part, and order the number of badges that they will require.

The badge can be worn while you are participating in the challenge.

When you complete the challenge, send the Welsh Scout Council office a complete a list of names for those who have achieved (adults and young people) and you will be sent special certificates for everybody!
