General questions
My leaders can't come to AWESOME, so I'm going to miss out!
You don't need your leaders to camp with you. If you can get yourself to the event, then as long as you have a nights away passport, you can attend! Please book by clicking the "book now" link on the left of this page, and enter 0 when asked for the number of leaders.
What do I get for my participant fee?
Your participant fee pays for all your activities for the weekend, plus you will recieve an inclusive t-shirt and badge. The fee also pays for the services that we have to bring to site (toilets, marquees etc).

When do I have to book by?
All bookings must be made in full by 14 August
I've made a provisional booking, does this count?
No, your booking must be confirmed with actual numbers by 14 August.
What happens if the event fills before the closing date?
Should the maximum number of participants be reached before the closing date, any expressions of interested will be added to a waiting list, and places will be offered in the event of cancellations or non-payment.
How do I pay?

Cheques must be payable to Welsh Scout Council and should be marked on the back with "AWESOME 2009", your unit name and your booking reference number.
When do I have to pay by?
All payments must be received by 28 August. Places not paid for by this date may be offered to those on the waiting list.
Can I add extra numbers after the deadline?
Yes it will be possible for a small number of extra participants to be added, however, we cannot guarantee that additional t-shirts and badges will be available at the event. However, these will be forwarded after the event.
Some of my Explorers have dropped out, can I get a refund?
Up until the booking deadline (14 August) any changes made to your booking will be reflected in the overall cost. However, in line with the booking terms and conditions, you will be liable to pay for all places booked at the deadline. This is because costs are incurred based on these numbers, for example, activities, t-shirts and badges.
Other questions
Is the event centrally catered?
No, each unit will need to bring their own food and facilities for cooking.
What about staff catering?
Event staff only may optionally purchase central catering.
