Scouts Wales: Be Prepared...

Sgowtiaid Cymru | Scouts Wales is the new branding used by the Welsh Scout Council.  The new logo is available for use locally within Wales.

The logo comes in both Welsh and English versions.  Included in the downloadable archive are WMF files with positive, negative and monochrome combinations with one version for onscreen (eg PowerPoint) and web use, and another for print (Please note that the colours may need to be corrected before professional print use; the correct colours are PMS 268 and PMS 397).  WMF files are compatible with all Microsoft Office software, and most professional publishing packages.  Also included are GIF files for web use.

Guidelines

To help you achieve the best impact, please follow the following guidelines:

Do:

  • Make the logo big enough to read; at least 65px high on websites, and 2cm high in print.
  • Leave enough space around the logo so that it can stand out
  • Use the appropriate colour logo to match the background you are using
  • Follow the Scout Association design guide (External PDF) and design manual (External PDF).
  • Familiarise yourself with Everyday Adventure and use this to help promote Scouting.

Don't:

  • Stretch the logo in any one direction
  • Create any shaped backgrounds behind the logo - use the appropriate colours for your selected background.
